PhotoStitcher App Reviews

Solid and Simple App - just two things missing

1. The app does NOT support bringing in TIFF images to they have to be converted to JPG (or some other format) before importing and stitching. It would be really nice to keep the images in their native format and save a step (and some time). Since I had LOTS of images to assemble as panoramas this was a lot more time than just the casual one panorama effort - but the reults are really good. :) 2. The arent any options to set preferences for the output file (there is a slider for the level of quality in JPG output format). It would be really useful if there were some options to choose the output file type, relative quality of the image, and maybe some other parameters (size, resolution, etc.) so that the output would be as ready to go wherever it is supposed to go (website slider image, upload to art website, etc). Again, for now, the basic settings work and I will do the other work in another app. Overall, very solid and simple - fair for the price.

Make it one

Downloaded it today. So far, so good. Loving it!

Panoramic pics

Worked like a charm, pretty easy app to use with good result.

Good job

This is the best app to make panoramas and they look amasing. Good job!

Awesome

Great app!!! Love how easy it is to use. Stitching is flawless and photos are so beautiful.

Its getting better

There are nothing but good reviews of this product on iTunes. I was not prepared for how bad this software is. It keeps locking up. You cant drag and drop even one picture into the app, but have to go through a painful process to put them in by opening one photo at a time from the add-file dialog. There is MUCH room for improvement here, its not worth the money I spent. ----- After e-mailing Customer service, they have now fixed my two biggest issues (Ive tested it for them, and the latest version on their website has the fixes). They fixed the lock-up issue, and Ive now Successfully saved several panoramas (it used to lock-up during the save process). And now when I open several photo files in a single "file-open" operation, it imports them in order, so I no longer have to open them one-at-a-time. So Ive changed my rating from one to three stars. Improvements I would like to see that would make me give it 5 stars: 1. Drag-n-drop from iPhoto. 2. auto cropping (largest rectangle possible withing the confines of the stitched panorama.)

Best I’ve used...

Minor technical bump to start but tech support was fast, helpful and very responsive. I’ve stitched together a couple of panoramas and the process was simple and the results were acurate. It stitched a couple of 7 exposure hand-held series of shots into quite large seamless panoramas with great detail. That’s exactly what I bought it for so 2 thumbs up.

Geat buy!

For a buck, you get an extremely easy tool. This PhotoStitcher very quickly creates unwarped panoramas. Can be used for many photos or just a few, with cropping, zooming, and saving tools. Highly recommend this app!

PhotoStitcher

Just wasted .99 its junk don’t buy or try. pictures dont fit come out sideways, and distorted needs to be removed from app store.

Good, simple-to-use app

First things first: I got this app to use with scanned family research documents rather than photographs. I have been using my Canon scanner to capture family documents that are larger than the scanner’s bed, so I have been making multiple scans of different parts of each page and then using Canon’s Photostitch utility to put them together in a seamless document. This worked for many of the scans, but for others I could not get their software to work properly. Out of frustration I looked for another app that might work better and found Photostitcher. At $.99 I thought what could I possibly lose to give it a try. And it worked flawlessly. Another reviewer complained about having to import one photo at a time instead of batching them for a single group add. While I can see this would help other users, and myself as well, I wasn’t overly inconvenienced by it. I didn’t have any problem with the program freezing at all. Frankly, I found Photostitcher to be much simpler and more effective than Canon’s program, although the latter has a few more bells and whistles in terms of manipulating the images. I’m glad I found this app. I intend to make a lot of use of it. If I could make one suggestion…I would like to be able to rotate each image as necessary. I can do that after I merge and save the document, but it would be great if it could be doen within the app itself.

great app for my artwork

I’m a traditional artist and have been looking high and low for an app that would properly “stitch up” the multiple scans of my artwork. I used to paintstakingly align my scans by hand with Photoshop (since my scanner is far smaller than my actual drawings and paintings), but now, Photo Stitcher creates near seamless stitching in minutes. The app is easy to use and it’s worth every penny. I have not used it on photos yet though, but for my artistic purposes, it’s a time saver!

Does not work

Not sure why but this just doesn’t work on my brand new macbook. Don’t waste your $5.

Photostitcher

This application works perfectly on my brand-new Mac Mini. It is the best photo stitcher program for the money that I have used in the last five years. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Just play around with the controls a little bit and it will be very easy to stitch your photos and edit them to fit the screen with the existing tools.

Expensive for limited functionality

Was using this to stitch photos of survey plans, while the photos were close enough to physically line up printed images with some overlap, some could not be stitched due to lack of “key points” . The Windows picture gallery software was able to stitch items this software cannot.

No vertical stitching

PhotoSticher doesn’t handle vertical stitching. It takes over an hour to process five overlapping vertical photos of the Sherman tree into a T- or mushroom-shaped image that’s wide at the top and pointed at the bottom.

Simple and quick

Used it to create a panorama from some pretty high-res pictures. Did the job quickly and well. Interface is simple, clean and intuitive.

PhotoStitcher

Good! Almost like the HP application I was familiar with on PC. Easy to use.

Like the Apple programs of old

Simple, intuitive and fast. That’s all you need to know.

First picture worked

I had trouble figuring out how to load my pics from Nikon NX2 software to Stitcher. But I figured out that I just drag and drop them into the “pictures” area of Sticher and select stitch and seconds later it was done stiching 3 photos together. THis is a great app. I use it all the time now and thin k that it is an outstanding price performer.

Complicated stictching made easy. Truly.

I was editing a tedious photo stiching project in Photoshop. It was of a floor painting and I had little head room to photograph, so I had to take about 18 pictures to capture it all. It was a nightmare! I was wasting time and getting frustrated. So I went looking for an easier solution on iTunes. This app cut my editing time down by about 10 hours. Way worth the price of the app 50 times over.
