PhotoStitcher App Reviews

Easy to stitch photos together

Overall, this photo stitcher is the best I’ve tried over the years. I recommend it. PhotoStitcher does a great job of seemlessly stitching photos together—no lines or color differences. It’s easy to drag photos into the app for stitching. Two small downsides: Picking the type of of panorama, like spherical or cylindrical, to use is not intuitive and takes some practice. A preview feature would be nice. Also, the app tends to freeze up on me after creating a few panoramas.

It gets stuck or crashes

The 1st time it did a very good job with the picture but took a long time to savbe it and crashed. Thereafter does not stitch at all, it keeps trying and then I get a message on my Mac that I have ran out of memory! I am changing my score from 1 to 3 star. the support responded promptly and making sure that pictures were overlapping sufficiently worked. the outcome however leaves something to be desired.

I want my money back!

There isn’t any indication that you cannot join more than one photo but that seems to be the case. I had 5 that I wanted to stitch together. There really needs to be clear instructions and info on app in the App Store. Otherwise users can be taken advantage of. Please refund my money.

Easy. Cheap. Can hang up.

Its easy and cheap. However, when I was doing a pano of two photos, each of reduced size from 8 to 3 mb, the stitch funciton would hang up on a plane perspective. Spherical worked like a charm.

Terrific!

Bought it. Used it. Love the results. Simple to use and quick. What I needed. Thanks!

Not enough Key points to stitch

I downloaded three scans from a pinball playfield to stitch into a single photo. Program repeatedly tells me I don’t have enough key points to stitch. This is nuts. The graphic is full of very specific images and should have plenty of detail to stitch. I tired three long scans the length of the playfield and then 5 short scans across the width of the play field. All in color all in high resolution 1200 DPI. No luck. $20 wasted.

Fast and acurate

After dropping in 5 36 Megapixel photos it only took the app 30 seconds to produce a very large pano. Tried both spherical and cylindrical warping and could see no difference between outputs. My camera+lens (Sony A7R and 35mm Zeiss 2.8 lens) generates a bit of vigneting which will be slightly visible in the output near the merge lines. If you get rid of vigneting before stitching you get a much better result. I think this is the best stitching app in the Mac app store so far!

PhotoStitcher 1.6

I tried it liked it bought it, Works Great for me.

A bit pricey

Very easy to use, high quality results, very little effort required. Much easier than some of the cheaper - or free - alternatives. Integrates well with the Photos app

Waste of money.

If you are looking for good results, don’t bother with this app, seriously. Yes, it stitches photos together, but all pano’s end up degraded as all hell. Blurry spots all over the place, huge loss of definition. Really disappointed with this app. Does it work for most people looking to get a simple pano to show some friends? Yes. Not worth the price though. Anybody with a decent eye should be able to see what this does to your images.

Падает! Crashes often!

Программа падает через раз, явно требуется доработка. Crashes very often, barely usable. I sent crash report sent to Apple.

Terrible App

Just spent USD 19 dollar and tested it with high resolution pics with very defined keyline and the result was nothing but a waste of money…. How can i refund my money??????? itunes you should atleast have a quality check on apps

Crashes frequently

Macbook running 10.8.4 OSX. App repeatedly quits unexpectedly when in the process of stitching. To date I have completed 2 stitched panoramas and had 9 unexpected quits - first time for any unreliable app on my Macbook. The panoramas I am attempting are simple scenery stitches - 4-5 photos from a simple point and click digital camera. I have not tried anything from my SLR yet but will test that shortly. When it works it produces good results but it is frustrating to buy an app that has good promise but looks like it has not been subject to any detailed quality testing.

Good Panoramas & Bad Crashes

For $19.99 you would expect a flawless system, not in this case. The system itself is fairly easy to use, but its the crashes that lower my review to 3 stars. Hopefully Maxim Gapchenko will fix it soon.
