Unlike other programs I have tried, PhotoStitcher works efficiently. I am satisfied.

I took some panorama photos on night scenes. Tried Photoshop and Canon Photo Stitch, yet both of which do not work at all. This app works!
The only thing I’ve been able to make with this app are very simple panoramas that have only one row of pictures, and found that even the simple panos were hit and miss, mostly miss. Even though I used a properly calibrated pano head, the app usually said “not enough key points. I would not recomend this app.
I was a bit concerned about some of the reviews, but I had to try something to create a digital image of blue prints for a class we are teaching. Well, I tried this software with our first set of prints, and it worked wonderfully. No issues.
This app is limited. I bought this to use with my new Macbook Pro (running the latest OS 10.11.3 El Capitan, etc), and could get this app to work with more than 4 pictures I shot with my Nikon DSLR camera. It just hangs and never renders a pano image. First I tried bringing in 8 images to stitch and that crashed. So then I reduced the number of images to stitch until I was left with 4, which really was not enough for a good seamless pano. VERY disappointed in paying good money for a simply, one feature app. That’s probably why the “free” version of these apps limits the number of pictues it will let you import!
So I always have hesitations about purchasing these apps and whether or not they are going to work for “me”. Well, this one is fantastic, and I’ve only used it one time. I had this giant 2 foot long graduation class photo from 30+ years ago that I scanned in in 3 pieces, of differing sizes. I drug them over and pressed stitch. In a few moments I was amazed that it actually worked and did a fantastic job of doing what I had been searching the internet to do for a while before. Can’t wait to do more stitching of other stuff.
I have a 2014 MBP with 16Gb Ram and the best i7 processor I could get. The hard drive has 200Gb of free space, and yet I get an error telling me that I have run out of memory for applications when I run this software. I’ve got 11 files that are aproximately 12.5Mb each for a total of less than 140Mb of photos. Granted the pixel dimensions are high at 6016x4016, but to run out of space? This might work for the person who wants a smaller panorama, but if you have a decent camera and don’t reduce files sizes you are going to have issues as well. Since I have not reduced the files sizes I cannot say if the software works well or not. I wish they would have put in file size limitations in their description so I would not have wasted my money.
BUY AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. It’s total junk. Don’t fall for the positive reviews as I did. Unless you are total amateur and you don’t mind bad blurs and lines in your panoramo.
